Reception Music

I play the music that you want at your reception.  You may offer me as much or as little direction as you are comfortable with.  I have a wide selection of music ranging from Big Band to recent Top 40 hits. I will make sure to create the type of atmosphere that you desire. There is more to your reception than music.  As your Master of Ceremonies, I will coordinate everything with the Kimball Hall staff to ensure that your reception flows smoothly.  I will make all of the announcements, including introducing the  bridal party, first dances, cake cutting, toasts, bouquet/garter toss, etc.  You can find popular wedding music and first dance suggestions here.  Special effects lighting is included at no extra charge.

Signature Lighting: Monogram or School Mascot/Logo

One of the latest trends in weddings is to project a meaningful image in light.  Many newlyweds choose monograms, but only your creativity limits what can be projected.  Any photo or artwork may be displayed in the Kimball Hall ballroom.   Additional design costs may apply for non-stock or complex pictures.
The steel stencil is good for simple designs, but may require small cutouts (e.g. to support the center of an 'O')  The printed glass solves this problem and enables complex patterns like those on the left. The stencil or printed glass is yours to keep, and could be a nice touch for an anniversary party.

Colored Uplighting

Add to the ambiance of your reception by adding a splash to light to the walls.  I use high-powered LED lighting that is computer controlled.  Each unit has remotely adjustable brightness and color.  You may choose classic white or one of the other 16.7 million colors that are possible.  If desired, lights may change colors throughout the night.

Microphones for Speakers, Singers, or Instruments

A wired microphone is included with the use of a DJ and is sufficient for most events.  However, if you require extra microphones, I will be happy to provide them at the following rates.  If you have live performers, please inquire as to their requirements well in advance of your event.

Video Projection of Slide Show or Movie

You can show your guests your photo slide show or home movie on our 72" projection screen.  It works well in the front bar or in the ballroom and may play continuously or be shown at an appointed time.

Live Internet Feed for Distant Friends & Family

Inevitably, some of your friends or family will not be able to attend your wedding.  We can set up this camera and send a live video and audio feed of your reception over the internet.  Anyone with a high-speed connection or a 3G cell phone can watch and hear your party live.  Additionally, the video may be recorded for later viewing.

Karaoke

You and your guests can demonstrate your talent with our karaoke system.  It includes 3 professional microphones, a video monitor, and thousands of songs to choose from.

Multizone Music

The sound system at Kimball Hall has the capacity to simultaneously play different music in the following locations:  Ballroom, Courtyard, Front Bar/Dining Room.  If you would like a different style of music in one of these areas, please bring an mp3 player or mp3 CD containing the music you wish to hear.  Alternatively, I can put together a playlist for $50.
